CAMEROON

Cameroon, predictably, have done little in the way of preparation. A handful of training games against French clubs is all coach Pierre Lechantre has to show for his work in 1999, save for the four qualifying matches Cameroon had to play to ensure their participation in the tournament. Yet, there is no writing off the Indomitable Lions, as past experience has shown. There is a classy and youthful air about the new generation emerging and this is a side with all the components of a winning outfit. Players to watch include Geremi Fotso Njitap of Real Madrid and team captain, Liverpool's Rigobert Song.
